Hey family! How is everyone doing? Before getting to this weeks video updates. I want to talk with you for a moment about something that has been on my mind lately.
A lot people if you ask them, will tell you that they could use a little bit more exercise in their life. Maybe some of them will say they are thinking about going on a diet. Or maybe they are going to join a gym. Some folks will talk about wanting to become a good a martial artist. Sadly though a good percentage of people never end up doing what they say they want to do.
A big reason for this is because they aren’t able to wrap their head around the idea of changing their lifestyle. If you decide to do anything whether exercise, diet, martial arts, learn an instrument, etc… Unless you plan on doing it for the rest of your life, then it’s just a fad amd the results won’t last.
Fad: An intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived and without basis in the object’s qualities; a craze.
Fads come and go. The only way to make progress in your life choices is to make them a part of your lifestyle. Decide today to be the healthiest you that you can be. Don’t make a goal to loose weight, decide to eat differently for the rest of your life. If you decide you need more exercise in your life, then don’t say you need to loose X amount of pounds… Decide that you are going to exercise for the next 90 years!
Understand that your body will do exactly what your mind tells it to do. Don’t leave room in your mind for you to give up on yourself.
